Statewide Engagement Continues

Statewide planning and engagement is one of the many priorities for the Seattle FIFA World Cup planning efforts, with coordination underway on everything from Fan Celebration areas and mini-pitch construction to local hospitality and tourism coordination.
As illustrated in the map below, the 2026 FIFA World Cup is meeting with people across Washington to ensure 2026 will be a true celebration of our state, its people, and the places that make this such a unique, scenic, and welcoming destination.

“No matter where we travel in the state of Washington, the excitement and interest in the FIFA World Cup is infectious,” said Chief Strategy Officer April Putney. “In communities large and small, the first question is always ‘How can we get involved?’ and we are thrilled to be building partnerships that will bring match day opportunities, events for residents and visitors, showcase local businesses and products to a broader audience. We’ll have a lot more to announce in the coming months, and look forward to the creativity and collaboration as we lead up to 2026.”
