BUILDING A LASTING COMMUNITY LEGACY
A World Cup for all of Washington
Statewide Experience
While not every Washingtonian can attend the FWC26, we are working to ensure everyone can share in the experience– through:
Fan zones
Watch parties
Community-led events
Partnerships with private and public sector allies
Other opportunities
Showcase Washigton
We’re excited to showcase the best of Washington’s culture and businesses to traveling fans and global viewers. Our Fan Zones will include opportunity zones to showcase local businesses while providing settings that highlight the natural beauty of our state and communities across Washington. And teams, whether here to play or stay, will bring additional attention and visibility to our state– and its people.
Safety And Readiness
Safety planning: Public safety is paramount, and that’s why law enforcement agencies across the region are working together to be ready for 2026.
Readying the stadium and practice fields
Readying the stadium and practice fields: Lumen Field will be the centerpiece for the games– with the pitch, stands, and concourses viewed by billions worldwide. We are using Lumen as a backdrop for media and planning– and once modifications begin next year, the stadium and the work we are doing in coalition to secure resources– will become more visible and dynamic. Similarly, we are working to secure agreements that will allow for the announcement of practice facilities that bring field improvements and tournament readiness to the forefront of our communications.
Delivering a safe, fun, and accessible experience
Whether someone travels a few blocks or from around the world to enjoy Seattle’s FWC28 experience, we want to ensure they have a truly world-class experience. The work being done around the region to integrate tourism enhancements, wayfinding, transit and transportation improvements, cultural engagement, safety, and other programmatic investments will be tremendous; telling that story and ensuring people can make the most of their engagement with our city, region, and state is central to our overall efforts.
